Kate Humble
Writer and Presenter

Kate Humble is a writer and presenter.  Her most recent television credits include Springwatch (BBC 2, 2009) Who Do You Think You Are? (BBC 1, 2009), The Frankincense Trail (BBC 2, 2009) and Autumnwatch (BBC 2, 2009).  She has travelled extensively, including in 2009 to a remote region of Afghanistan.  She has written for a number of publications including The Telegraph, The Times, The Independent, Travel Africa and Wanderlust and is co-author of the book ‘Springwatch and Autumnwatch’   In 2004 she set up www.stuffyourrucksack.com, a website dedicated to helping travellers give support to the world’s poorest communities.  

She is a qualified commercial diver and is the second woman ever to be appointed  President of the RSPB.  She lives in Wales with her husband Ludo, her dog Badger, a hive of bees and various other hoofed, furred and feathered livestock.
